Court hire, coaching, pickleball and comps — quick answers to the questions we get most often at Bunnerong Road.
How do I book a court, and what does it cost?
Heffron Park has 10 tennis courts (4 hard court, 6 synthetic grass) and 10 pickleball courts (2 dedicated, 8 multi-sport), bookable up to 2 weeks in advance via the Book a Court page (minimum 30-minute bookings). Casual tennis is $35/hour off-peak (weekdays 7am–5pm) or $42/hour peak (weekdays after 5pm and all weekend), capped at 2 hours. Casual pickleball is $25/hour, or $30/hour on dedicated pickleball courts. External/third-party coaching is not permitted on the courts.
What ages does Hot Shots cover, and how much does it cost?
Our Tennis Australia Hot Shots program is for children aged 3 to 12, from Kinder Tennis through to Squad (with squad lessons also available for those older than 12). Lessons start from $24.00/week for Kinder Tennis (30 minutes), fees are charged via fortnightly direct debit, and Active Kids Vouchers are accepted for $50 off enrolment.
Can my child try a session before joining?
Yes — a free trial is available, but for kids only (not adult coaching). Just contact us or call (02) 9093 6390 to arrange a time
What does Tennis Membership include?
Adult Membership (17+) is $40/month, and Junior Membership (under 17) is $30/month. Both include free off-peak casual court hire, a reduced $24/hour rate after 5pm on weekdays and all weekend, 20% off tennis programs (excluding private lessons), 20% off competition entry, 10% off merchandise, and free table tennis hire — Adult Membership also includes 30% off Social Tennis. Note: Pickleball is not included in Tennis Membership. Yearly upfront options are available in addition to monthly direct debit — ask at reception.
What social sessions are on offer, and how do I book?
Social Pickleball runs Wednesdays 8:30am–10:30am ($12.50/session) and Mondays 7pm–8:30pm plus Fridays 6:30pm–8pm ($17.50/session). Group lessons run Wednesdays 7:30am–8:30am and Fridays 9am–10am ($17.50/session). Private lessons are also available in 30/45/60-minute formats ($50/$75/$100 per session), with 5- and 10-session pack discounts.
How does the adult competition work?
The Sunday Adult Competition runs across 8am–10:30am and 10:30am–1pm timeslots, with singles and doubles across four divisions (Beginner to Advanced), round robin plus a finals week. It’s UTR accredited, with balls and court hire included, and coffee, tea, snacks and a BBQ on-site. Pricing is $250 for non-members or $200 for members. How do parties work, and what's the price?
Parties run every Sunday in 2-hour sessions (10am–12pm, 1pm–3pm, 4pm–6pm) and are tennis-based, with court hire, equipment and a qualified coach included. Pricing is $26.50 per participant for groups of 1–10, $24 for 11–20, and $21.50 for 21–30, with an optional sausage-sizzle-and-drink add-on for $12 per person.
